This is a one-person practice. I wrote this myself, in plain language, and everything in it is what I actually do.
When you book a call. Booking goes through Calendly, which collects your name, email address, and anything you type into the booking form.
When you become a client. Whatever you send me for your analysis: resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, project histories, application statistics, and anything else you choose to share.
When we meet. Sessions are held on Zoom. I record them, and I use AI transcription to produce a transcript and summary notes. I tell you this at the start of every session and the announcement is part of the recording. If you don’t want to be recorded, say so and I won’t.
When you email me. Your message and your email address.
I don’t ask for and don’t want your date of birth, government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information. Please don’t send them.
I use what you send me to build your analysis and to advise you. That’s it. I use it for no other purpose.
AI is part of that process. Your materials are processed using large language models to build your skills profile and to run the market search. This is how the analysis gets built. The judgment and the recommendations are mine.

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what they do with data on their systems.
Sometimes I think it’s worth putting your resume in front of a recruiter or hiring manager in my network. I never do that without your explicit permission. You opt in, in writing, and I send only what you have agreed to send.
You can withdraw permission at any time, and declining changes nothing about the work I do for you. I receive no fee from anyone for making an introduction, and I have no paid relationships with any employer.
I don’t sell your information. I don’t share it for marketing. It doesn’t go into any public dataset, any report I publish, or any marketing material.
I don’t quote you, name you, or describe your situation publicly without asking you first — and if I ever describe a client’s result anonymously, it stays unidentifiable.
I keep your materials while I’m working with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back.
Ask me to delete it and I will. Email info@career-pivot.ai and say so. I’ll delete what I hold and confirm when it’s done. Some records may persist in service providers’ backups or where I’m required to keep them — payment records, for example.

This site uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people find and use the pages — which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and where things break. Both set cookies and collect usage data such as your approximate location, device, and browser. I use this to improve the site, not to identify you personally, and I don’t combine it with the materials you send me as a client. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, using a tracker-blocking extension, or Google’s opt-out tools. Google and Microsoft process this data under their own privacy policies.
The Seattle Tech Week roles pages are informational. They don’t require an account and I don’t collect personal information from you for browsing them, beyond the analytics described above.
This is a service for working professionals. It isn’t directed at anyone under 18 and I don’t knowingly collect information from minors.
